HMD Global, through its partnership with Nokia, has launched two new simple phones in India - the Nokia 235 4G and the Nokia 220 4G.
These releases come shortly after the introduction of the updated Nokia 3210 (2024), confirming Nokia's focus on the simple phone market.
With a camera
The Nokia 235 4G (2024) features a 2.8-inch IPS display and a 2-megapixel rear camera. The phone runs on a Unisoc T107 processor and Nokia S30+ operating system. The device includes 64MB of RAM and 128MB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It has a removable 1450 mAh battery, capable of providing up to 9.8 hours of talk time.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.0, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port for charging. The phone supports basic apps like an MP3 player, FM radio, and cloud apps, and provides access to news and weather updates, YouTube Shorts, and the classic Snake game. It also comes with Scan & Pay UPI apps to facilitate digital payments.

The Nokia 220 4G shares most of the specifications of the Nokia 235 4G but does not have a camera. It supports UPI applications approved by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), simplifying digital transactions.

Prices and places to buy
The Nokia 235 4G is available at a price of 3,749 rupees, equivalent to 3,200 Egyptian pounds, in three colors: blue, black, and purple.
The Nokia 220 4G is priced at 3,249 rupees, equivalent to 2,800 pounds, and comes in two colors: peach and black.
Both models are available starting today on the HMD website, Amazon.in, and in retail stores across India, and it is worth noting that prices will vary upon launch in Egypt.
